50 YEARS WITH HOSPITAL
TARANAKI DOCTOR’S WORK From. Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. Iri recognition of his 50 years of service to the people of Taranaki, Dr. H. B. Leatham, of the New Plymouth Hospital, was presented by Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, Director-General of Health, on behalf of the people of the district, with an engraved silver cigarette casket. Many hospital officials, local-body representatives, doctors and personal friends of Dr. Leatham attended the presentation and the various speakers paid tributes to his work. Hopes were expressed that he would remain in active practice in the X-ray department, which he personally established and developed.
