MT. RICHMOND DOMAIN BOARD
Mr. R. B. Todd, chairman of the Mount Richmond Domain Board, presided at the annual meeting of the board held in the Otahuhu Borough Council Chambers on Wednesday. Mr. L. D. Chatfield, caretaker, reported on the condition of the domain, and asked permission to be allowed to plant an avende of trees from the drive to the pumping station, as suggested by the chairman on his lasi visit to the grounds. He said he had quite a number of trees for planting in the proper season. The main drive was in good order, a portion near the entrance only needing blinding and rolling. The report was adopted, members expressing appreciation of the interest and good work being done by the caretaker. The balance sheet, which was adopted, showed the assets of the board as £299 ISs 6d and liabilities nil. The year commenced with a credit balance of £1,159 10s 3d, which was increased to £1,455 16s 4d by receipts from rent and water rights, etc. Of this sum, £1,393 15s 4d was spent
on improvements to the front wall, iron gates and grounds. The chairman and Mr. Lippiatt were appointed a committee to supervise the planting of trees, on which it was decided to spend £oo this year.
