ANNUAL MEETING HELD SUCCESSFUL SEASON From Our Otcn Correspondent WAIUKU, Today. The annual general meeting of the Waiuku Bowling and Croquet Club was held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday night, the president, Mr. .T. O. Crouch, presiding over an attendance of about 40 members. The report disclosed that last year showed a credit of £23 4s sd. with liabilities showing £24 19s, while this year the balance in credit at the bank was £59 Is, with no outstanding accounts. It also referred to the success of Dr. R. S. Whiteside, the club champion, who was successful in winning the Northern Waikato Association’s champion of champions tourney, while Mr. R. McKenzie was runner-up in the first year’s championship at a similar fixture. Mr. Crouch referred to the excellent position of the club, as disclosed by the balance sheet, and was supported by other speakers. It was resolved that £SO should be set asid< to reduce the existing mortgage over the club’s property. The retiring president then presented the trophies won during the year, as follow:—Club championship. Ur. R. S. Whiteside; full rink, W. Summerville, A. M. Barriball, J. T. Jones, JI. M. Barriball; handicap pairs. Ur. R. S. Whiteside and C. O. Roscoe; first year champion, Mr. R. McKenzie. The following officers for the ensuing year were elected:—President, Mr.. W. L. West; vice-presidents. Colonel M. Aldred and Mr. W. 11. McNa ugh ten; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Bridle (re-electedJ: executive committee, Messrs. J. H. Wright, J. T. Jones, C. O. Roscoe. IT. Neil, R. McKenzie, Mesdames W. 11. McNartgliten and S. Neil; greor superintendent, Mr. S. P. Eddy; auditor, Mr, C. H. Greenhead; match and selection committee, Messrs. W. U. West, J. U. Jones and i?. P. Eddy; delegates to Northern Waikato Association, the president and secretary.
