LAND SETTLEMENT
ADDRESS BY MR. RUSHWORTH

An interesting address was given at T© Awamutu on Wednesday evening by Air. IT. AI. Rushworth, AI.P. (Country Party). On th© subject of land settlement, the speaker said it was necessary to foster it in an effort to balance the ratio of population engaged in tho most important industry. Lands at present adle should b© made productive, but it was first necessary to make it possible to make land settlement payable. Reference was made to the legislation protecting workers in other industries and the failure to protect the operatives in the farming industry.
In conclusion, the speaker referred to the coming Parliamentary election urging voters to think very seriously before going to the ballot box.
