BITTERLY OPPOSES NEW AUSTRALIAN TARIFF

The Italian Government has instructed its Canberra representative to denounce the proposed trade treaty and also to join other representatives in the general protests. Italy plans to treat butter front Australia like Australia treats cheese from Italy. Officials estimate the proposed treaty will cause 40 per cent decline :u Italian exports to Australia.
