PROPOSAL CONDEMNED BY MAGISTRATE
“WOULD BE MISCHIEVOUS” Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. At the annual meeting of the Society for tlie Protection of Women and Children, Mr. J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., condemned the proposal to establish a Court of Domestic Relations in place of the present method of settlement of domestic cases. In some respects, he said, it would be mischievous. Nothing was more resented than outside interference in the homes, and lie thought it unwise to encourage people to go to a tribunal for the adjustment of differences. He much preferred the present method, with tlie services of the society's capable sister available.
