WORKERS’ COMPENSATION Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. It was announced today that the committee appointed by the Government to investigate the operation of the Workers’ Compensation Act has been raised to the status of a Royal Commission. It is understood that the alteration was necessary to cover th • question of the payment of the expenses of the members. The commission has now reached decisions on all material paints of inquiry and is at present engaged on the elaboration of its recommendations. Its report, which will be presented to Parliament, is expected to be completed by the end of the current month.
