CHURCH CONGRATULATES LORD STRICKLAND ATTEMPT ON LIFE DEPLORED United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 10,20 am. VATICAN CITY, Sun. The "Osservatore Romano” condemns the attempt on Lord StrieKland’s life. The Archbishop of Malta wrote to Lord Strickland rejoicing that the latter had escaped from the attack of a madman. A message from London says King George has sent a message to Malta stating that ho was shocked to hear of the attempt on Lord Strickland’s life, and thankful for the failure of the dastardly act. The police at Malta raided a club where Miller lodged, and found photographs of Signor Mussolini, also copies of a Fascist hymn.
