AIRMEN TO RETURN
PIPER AND KAY TO SAIL ON MAUNGANUI Flying-Officers C. E. Kay and H. L. Piper, the two New Zealand airmen who made an adventurous flight from England to Australia and who have now been in the Dominion for more than a month, intend sailing by the Maunganui on Friday for Sydney, en route to England. Both of the airmen were granted extended leave from the Royal Air Force to visit their relatives in New Zealand. Mr. Kay, whose family resides at Mangere, returned from the South yesterday, while Mr. Piper, who has being doing a considerable amount of flying in the South Island and the Wellington Province, will arrive later.
