FROM A LETTER
I really believe you are akin to the fairies, and that sometimes you shed your human form, leaving it asleep, and tiptoe over the star arches to where the Shining People live. And I am sure The Dawn Lady, beloved of all, is some relation of yours. Whenever a tree branch swings back, I look to see if I can see anywhere the sign of a fur-lined moccasin, or a scarlettipped feather. MAID OF THE PINES.
