TAUMARUNUI FIXTURE
RIDING ENGAGEMENTS There will be no dearth of riding talent at the one-day meeting of the Taumarunui Racing Club on Saturday, and the large fields ensure plenty of riding for all the crack jockeys. Engagements announced to date are: R. McTavish.—Land Measure (Maiden Handicap). F. Foster.—Pukerimu. L. Manson.—Norval Tea. A. Gilmer.—Luminary. H. Dulieu.—Town Bird. R. Olive.—Waltzer. A. McGregor.—St. Warrigal. F. Fergus.—Land Measure (Matapuna Handicap). IT. Wiggins does not intend being present at the fixture, and it is also doubtful whether he will be riding on the first day of the Great Northern meeting at Ellerslie, having received an offer to go to Otaki. In the event of him accepting it is likely that R. Reed will pilot Pahu in the Cornwall Handicap.
