MRS. S. J. HEWITT Mrs. S. J. Hewitt, whose death occurred yesterday at her home in Ep* som, was born in Ireland 73 years She came to New Zealand with parents in 1575, and lived with them at Tuakau. In 1877 she married Samuel Hewitt and took up resident at BucklAnd. Mr. Hewitt died » 1904, and six years later Mrs- Hewitt came to Auckland. She was an acta# supporter of the Bible -in- schoo-s movement and was very interestedin the Maoris. Mrs. Hewiit leaves fivo daughters and two sons. Mr. M. U* Hewitt, of Tuakau, and Mr. A** Hewitt, of Buckland. MR. MICHAEL O’DONAGHLE The death has occurred of Michael O DOnaghue, of YVaihou. left Ireland when 24 years of a^€ came out to Lyttelton in 3 870.
