NO RATE INCREASE FOR THE YEAR Tho rate levy in Dcvonport, as fixed by the borough council last evening, will bo sevenpence in the £ on the unimproved values —the same amount that has been levied for the last three years. The general rate will be 23-16 d in tho ■£, which is l-8d lower than the general rate in 1928-29, but an increase in the interest rate, which is now 4 5-16 d in the £, offsets this reduction.
