TRADER WRECKED
ISLAND STEAMER PILED UP OFF FIJI GROUP 1 NO LOSS OF LIFE > Reed. 0.30 a.m. SUVA, Today. 2 The auxiliary schooner Motau. owned by Messrs. Burns, Philp, and l Co., was wrecked off Mbua Bay, in 1 the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji Group. There was no loss of life. The Motau is one of this company i inter-island traders of the South Pacific. She is a wooden vessel of 250 tons gross register, and was built in the United States of America in 3 917. Mbua Bay is on the south-west coast of the island, about 80 miles due north from Suva.
