ALBERT STREET TRAMS
HOW DID THE PAPERS GET THE NEWS? MR. COYLE IS CURIOUS Just how the Press got hold of the transport manager’s confidential report to the Transport Board recommending trams in Albert Street was the subject of a question this morning by Mr. M. J. Coyle. “Who was responsible for that report going out to the papers?” Mr. Coyle demanded more in sorrow than in anger. Mr. G. Baildon: I have been asking the same question. The Manager, Mr. A. E. Ford: I can assure you that it did not go out from the office. Mr. Baildon (with a twinkle and a glance at the reporters): They aay competition is good for trade. Mr. E. H. Potter: It was a good advertisement, anyway.
