As a mark of respect to the memory of the late Lawrence Aldred, no races were held last week-end for riders of the Manukau Cycle Club. A service was held in memory of the late member at St. George’s Hall, Ranfurly Road, last Sunday morning. A good attendance of fellow-members paid their respects by taking part in the service.

It can be seen that the comprehensive programme which lias been drawn up has catered for all classes of pedallers. Whether the courses will have to be changed will depend upon whether the body concerned will allow the club to race over the usual course. With the professional body now racing away from the amateurs no difficulty should arise in obtaining the necessary sanction.
