SLUMP IN TIN
LONDON, Tuesday. The “Daily Herald’s” city correspondent suggests that the fall in the price of tin to £142 8s 9d a ton is not unconnected with the release of large secret stocks.
This, he says, will necessitate the raising of possibly £1,500,000 in order to keep about IS,OOO tons of the metal from the market to save the restriction scheme.
