WHERE IRELAND LEADS
LARGEST PERCENTAGE OF UNMARRIED The United States is the best country for marrying, while the Irish Free State is the worst, according to census returns. Eighty per cent, of the men in the Free State between 25 and 30 are unmarried, while only 39 per cent, of those in America remain single. In Northern Ireland the corresponding figure is 62 per cent., while in England It is 45 per cent. The figures reveal that Finland and the Irish Free State lead the world in numbers of unmarried persons.
