SOCCER TOUR’S COLLAPSE
AUSTRALIANS NOT TO BE ASKED NEXT YEAR , SPLIT IN NEW SOUTH WALES Special to THE SUN WELLINGTON, Tuesday. _ Following the collapse of the New -Zealand Soccer tour in Australia is tne consequence that Australia will not be aslted to visit New Zealand next year, according to Mr. F. Campbell, chairman of the Council of the New Zealand Football Association, Until Australia can settle its difficulties and arrange to pull together in .he choice of a team to visit New Zealand, it appears unlikely that New Zealand will wish for a visit, as the strength of anything less than a fuliy Australian team would be problematical.
In addition, states Mr. Campbell, tho difficulties which have arisen in the Commonwealth appear to spell the end of the projected tour of Australia by a team of New Zealand schoolboys this season. The boys could not go to tho Commonwealth with its football affairs in the present involved state.
