STARTS TONIGHT The floodlight Soccer season opens*; Blandford Bark this evening, when th teams of the Veronica and Labvnmr meet as the first of > the Navy trials. There is the keenest rivalry between the sister sloops, and from tonights players a team will be selected to represent the Imperial Navy against th« New Zealand Navy. There are clevc. players on both sides who have represented the Navy in past se-taor?. and with the ground in such gooc condition for fast play a lively bout is certain. With expert advice the lighliqt effects have been almost doubled, and 85,000 candle power is now' available to flood the playing area. The shadomi have been eliminated, and the ws concentration of light on the playing field illuminates brilliantly ever yard of ground. Progress reports of the Pampn elation returns will be broadcast at inteivals. The kick-off is set for 7.45 p.r.
