MOUNT ALBERT A competition, to be won by the team -with the highest aggregate of points, was held by the Mount Albert Bowling Club on Saturday, the last day of the season. There was a large attendance and 3 6 teams were selected by the match committee. Three rounds of seven heads each had to be played. In the first round R. Blyth, F. Lang, F. Tomlinson, W. J. Moldswortli led with a score of 14. p. Cossey, J. Daniels, A. Cossey, R. J. Ailely notched 13 in the second round and took the lead with a total of 21 against Holds worth’s 20. In the third round Ailely finished first and scored 6, making his aggregate 27. Up to and inclusive of the last head but one Holdsworth had scored 5. On the last head he had to score 3 to win. J. Baildon, his opponent, drew the shot with his last bowl about 6in in front of the jack. Holdsworth had last shot, and with it took the kitty to the left and lay three and won the competition.
