f BURNSIDE CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL FUNCTION DANCING AT TE KUITI The annual dance of the Burnside Golf Club wa.s held in the Parish Hall during - the week, and was most successful. There was a large number present, including members of the Burnside and Te Kuiti Clubs, as well ias numerous visitors from outside j clubs. The women’s committee, under ! the direction of Mrs. Passau, effected j a w onderful transformation of the hall by their scheme of decorations, and the committee’s arrangements in connection with the appointments and supper left nothing to be desired. Swift’s Orchestra, the members of which appeared for the first occasion in their new music jackets, provided excellent dance music. Among those present were: Mrs. Passau, who wore black taffeta and chiffon; Mrs. Stranger black georgette and silver lace; Mrs. Broadfoot, pale blue satin; Mrs. Rolleston, royal blue taffeta; Mrs. Mackersey, green georgette, with sequin trimmings; Mrs. de Castro, lemon georgette, with satin bands; Mrs Shakes, black silk; Mrs. Johnstone (Nelson), pink liberty crepe de Milne; Mrs. Tate, red georgette; Mrs. Bathgate, black lace and silver trimmings; Airs. Boles, blue crepe de chine and georgette; Mrs. Isaac, white chenille velvet and chiffon; Airs. Lavington, lemon taffeta and gold lace; Airs. Low, white georgette and crystal embroideries; Airs. Vernon, black taffeta and silk net: Airs. Mostyn-Jones, coffee lace and georgette; Airs. H. T. Morton, blue georgette; Airs. Cooper, primrose crepe de chine; Airs. Wilson, red taffeta and figured'net; Airs. Fenton, rose and old gold frock; Airs. McLeod, green moire velvet and georgette; Airs. C. Johnstone, deep rose taffeta and gold lace: Mrs. Mason, black silk net and relieved with rose. Miss Af. Barker, shell pink georgette; Aliss W. Matthews, apricot taffeta; Aliss N. Jordan, shell pitik georgette; Aliss Hitchings, apricot taffeta; Miss P. Reacle, blue satin and spotted net; Aliss V. Jones, primrose taffeta; Aliss L. Dean, black velvet, with fur trimmings; Alis.s •U Brewer, pale green georgette; Aliss P. Voyee, black frock: Miss J. Davidso , yeliovr taffeta; Miss O. Brewer, rose velvet and georirette; Miss N. McColl, whue georgette and silk: Miss Wyngate (Hamilton). blue taffeta and rose velvet: Miss W. Barr, floral georgette.
