ENJOYABLE bridge evening AT THAMES The funds of the Plunket Society benefited considerably by a largely attended bridge evening held at the home of Dr. J. B. Liggins, in Queen Street, Thames, last week. There were IS tables for progressive bridge, the prizes being won by Miss jj t Price, with Mrs. C. A. Berry second. Mrs. Campbell, of Queen Street, received the consolation prize. Mrs* J- B. Liggins received her guests in a peach-coloured frock of soupl® satin. Among thoee present were: Mrs. Knox (Suva), Mrs. A. P. Worley (Auckland), Mrs. A. S. Gray, Mrs. W. Sowerby, Mrs. E. V. Adams, Mrs. E. B. riindon, Mrs. E. Watson, Mrs. R. B. Davison, Mrs. C. Reid, Mrs. C. A. Berry, Mrs. H. R- Bush, Mrs. D. Ritchie, Mrs G. Shaw, Mrs. 11. 11. Marshall, Mrs. F. McCullo-ugh, Mrs. W. H. Blennerliassett, Mrs. V. Boles, Mrs. S. Miller, Mrs. A. G. T. Bryan, Mrs. R. McMillan, Mrs. G. S. Wallace, Mrs. W. 11.
