CONCERT AT CIVIC
A very successful concert, organised W the Musicians* Union in aid of the lusieians’ Benevolent Fund, was held u the Civic Theatre last evening. The blowing programme was played: •'larch, “Marche Hongroise” (Berliotz) ; “Peer Gynt” (Grieg); song, AX>ves Old Sweet Song”; string enviable; overture, “II Guarany" Gomez): organ solo, “The Lost (Sullivan), played by Mr. Fred vocal. “Tangi” (Alfred Hill), Snell; Spanish suite, “La ■ (Machetti); harp solo. mr ; f r ° m “Winter” (Thomas), played Son^’ l £ nor Toi 'ziho; selection, “Desert tonrS*. (2; om berg); overture, “Raycomi , (Thom as). Mr. Ted Henkel as a . Jcted and Mrs. R. A. Singer acted th ft ° mpanist - At the conclusion of the secretary, Mr. Frank man, 017, thanked the artistes, and the TW Bement staff of the Civic aire » for the help they had given.
