LATE CANON H. MASON
BURIAL AT HOWICK nl a e . la - t ?^’ anon H - Mason, vicar of Ail Saints Church, Howick, was buried yesterday afternoon in the little cemetery adjoining the Selwyn Church. The burial service was read by Archdeacon G. MacMurrav, vicar-general of the diocese. He was assisted by Archdeacon W. J. Simkin and the Rev. L. Fouikes. There was a large gathering of Howick people and residents of Otahuhu, where Canon Mason was vicar for more than 20 years. The chief mourners were Canon Mason’s sons. Mr. F. W. H. Mason, of Matamata, and Mr. P. E. Mason, of Whitford. Many wreaths were sent by organisations and friends. In a short address Archdeacon MacMurray made reference to the great loss the Church had felt. He had been a good and faithful servant since his ordination 34 years ago.
