MR. POLSON ANSWERS
SOUTH ISLAND RAILWAY CRITICISM WILL SPEAK IN BLENHEIM Press Association BLENHEIM, Saturday. The following communication has been received in Blenheim from Air. W. J. Poison, M.P., telegraphed from Oamaru: “I observe in the Press a strong attack by the Alarlborough Farmers’ Union on myself because of my attitude on the railway (South Main Trunk) question. As I am due to speak in Blenheim on May 14. would it not be reasonable to wait and hear what I have to say before condemning one, instead of judging by a necessarily abbreviated news summary? “I may add that, after my addresses, audiences of farmers and others in the South have passed unanimous votes of confidence in me and in what I stand for.”
