BURGLARS IN SUBURBS
TWO DARING THEFTS Bank notes to the value of £lB were stolen from the home of Mr. c. Eaves, at 34 Chester Avenue, Gr<v Lynn, last week. The theft was not discovered until the following morning. Entry was gained through a window in the bedroom. where a woman and two children were sleeping. As several of the occupants of the house were deaf and dumb the burglar had no need to fear interruption. The intruder forced a drawer and removed two £5 notes and eight £1 notes, which were the family savings. Another burglary occurred at thresidence of Mrs. G. Easton, of 32 St John’s Avenue. Epsom, by a thief who searched the premises' while the family "as at home. Two purses containing only a small sum of monev w;ere stolen, being picked up emptv ia the garden later. Entry was gained through a window.
