Smith, the scores are. —Lindrum, 10,555, including breaks of 1,222, 368, 201 and 252; Smith. 5,080, including breaks of 252, 334, 237, 386 and 264. McConachy reached the high-water mark of his career with his break or 1,739, which came mainly from top-of-the-table play. It eclipsed his won record of 1.630 made at Grimsby. Several difficult shots w’ere negotiated in brilliant fashion. HI3 feat was the greater as Newman also was in exceptional form.
