The last shipment arrived on December 2, and there will not be another shipment before Christmas. \t the present time prices are high and they will be higher as Christmas approaches. The price for bananas, 28s ox wharf, is the highest for years, and tho supply is short. Retailers will bo forced to sell at a loss, as bananas will cost about 711 a lb. and will have to sell at 5d or 6d.
