INSANE TAXI-DRIVERS
CHARGE BY CONSTANTINOPLE ALIENIST CONSTANTINOPLE, Monday. The statement made by a prominent Turkish alienist, that the majority of the Constantinople taxi-car drivers are insane and drug addicts, is furiously denied by the Chauffeurs’ Union, but is applauded by the citizens, who have been subjected to an alarming increase in motor accidents. The members of the municipal council also side with the doctor, and the council has ordered a periodic examination of chauffeurs, and promises to send to a mental hospital those who are found to be unbalanced.
