OLD THAMES GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE ENTERTAINED A very happy afternoon was spent in the J.C.L. Tearoom yesterday by the committee members of the Old Thames Girls' Association, who were being entertained by the association and the life members, who were the guests of the committee. A MINIATURE palm court had been arranged and added a delightfully cool note to the gay decorative scheme. Iceland poppies were gracefully mingled with asparagus fern on the long tables. Mrs. Oldham, president of the association, greeted the guests on arrival. The guest of the afternoon was Mrs. Dewar, the oldest life member, who is 96 years of age. Mrs. Dewar was presented with a lovely bouquet of pastelshaded sweet peas and asparagus fern. Among those present were: Mrs. McMiken, Miss Shaw, Mrs. C. Reid, Mrs. Am bury, Miss Bridson.
