A party was being conducted round a locomotive works. “And what is that big thing?” asked a lady visitor. “That, madam,” replied the guide, “is a locomotive boiler.” “And why do they boil the locomotive?” was the further question. “Must be to make the locomotive tender,” came a voice from the rear.
