WAITEMATA WINS IN TUI MEMORIAL CLUB SWIMMING CARNIVAL Close finishes were th© order at tlie j first club swimming carnival of the season, held in tho Tepid Baths last evening by the Parnell Amateur | Swimming Club. The attendance was a disappointment, especially in view * •'; the keen racingWaitematu’s relay team won the Tui Memorial Cup, and the carnival was capped by an extremely fast water polo match in which Waitemata A generulled by J. Enwright, defeated v»onsonby B. A novelty event amused the crowd , und the club provided a good touch to the racing by playing musical selec- I tions in tho interval. Mr. Trevor S. Lindsay, centre-forward, and the score was 4—o for Waitemata at half-time, in spite of good work in goal by R. S tot ter. Ponsonby, with 11.
