CLEANING FIREPLACES.
Brick fireplaces are a feature of many modern houses, but they are not so easily kept in good order as the tiled varieties. Naturally, the rough surfaces take up and hold a certain amount of dust. The fireplace will be ail the better for an occasional scrubbing, and if this is done fairly regularly should need no further attention. But if the bricks need a little brightening, a sponging with vinegar will have the desired effect. After the vinegar, rinse well with clear water.
