TWO Horses were accepted for in the Waipa Plate that were not eligible. One was Parfait Amour, who won at Taumarunui on acceptance day, his £7O winning cheque putting him out of the Plate, which is for horses that have not won a race valued at £SO or over to the winner at the time of ingThe second ineligible is Sir Kay, a six-year-old gelding by Lord Quex from Bon Espoir, now trained at Te Awamutu.
At Hastings two an a-half years ago Sir Kay dead-heated with Hathor in the Poukawa Handicap, of £l4O, these two horses sharing the first and second stake money, £126.
Therefore, as this event was worth £63 to Sir Kay, he is not eligible for Saturday’s Waipa Plate at Te Awamutu.
