TOMATOES PLENTIFUL STRAWBERRIES CHEAPER Hothouse tomatoes are coming forward in large numbers in the city marts, but prices have not changed. Better weather has caused a big increase in the supplies of strawberries. At today’s sales values were much cheaper. Bananas are dearer. Mare supplies arrive this week from the Islands. There will be no shipment of citrus fruit from Australia this week. Oranges, Australian and Californian, are maintaining their value, and lemons are in fair demand. Small samples of Thames apricots are appearing. One or two lines of local Black Hamburg grapes have been offered, and high pries have been secured. More lines may be offered this week. Th cherry plums being offered are mainly too green. Gooseberires have declined in value again. Little change is taking place in a well-stocked vegetable market.
