JOIN CITY COMMISSION VISITS AREA Appointed to inquire into tlie PfP* posal of including a portion of tn Mount Roskill district in the City a commission comprising Mr. J. Hewitt, S.M., presiding, and Messrs. • N. Campbell and W. G. McClintoc* commenced its inquiry’ at the trate’s Court this morning. After a * minutes sitting, however, the comnn-' sion adjourned to make an inspectio of the property. . Mr. V. R. Meredith appeared for tn« Mount Roskill Road Board, Mr. Milne for the petitioners. Mount * kill South Ratepayers’ Association, a Mr. J. Stanton for the Auckland Di - Council. ' . At the opening of the inquiry - • Meredith said he thought it was sary for the commission to inspect tn district concerned before any eviden was taken. There was not a great de of evidence to be given, and the 1 * qulry could well be finished toroorro • Mr. Hewitt then adjourned the sit-tin* until 10* o’clock tomorrow morning* >
