SCHOOL DENTISTRY
REGROUPING OF CLINICS NURSE FOR BIRKENHEAD Inconvenience through children having to travel from one school to another for dental treatment has been experienced in Auckland schools. A visit of inspection was paid yesterday by the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, to the Mount Albert, Mount Roskill, Edendale and Brixton Road Schools, and it is expected that a regrouping of the clinics will shortly be undertaken. The school committees have been striving to this end for some time. Mr. Stallworthy stated before leaving for Wellington last evening that he was confident a better grouping of the clinics could be accomplished, and he promised an announcement in this respect on his return to Auckland. A dental nurse has been provided for the Birkenhead group schools, in addition to the nurse allocated to the Devonport groups. Advice to this effect has been received by Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P., from the Minister of Health. The nurses will take over their duties at the end of next March. The schools in the Birkenhead group are:—Birkenhead, ISTorthcote, Birkdale, Glenfield, Albany and Greenliithe.
