A PICTURESQUE SWEEP OF ROAD now extends from Orakei on toward Mission Bay. It is hoped to have this section surfaced and ready for traffic by next spring. The picture, taken from Okahu Point, on the seaward side of Orakei, shows the rock retaining wall which will protect the road from the ravages of the sea.
