ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE AN AUXILIARY SCHOONER, the motor-ship Beulah, which arrived at Auckland this morning from San Francisco, has an unusual-looking bow. Her “sawn-off” fore-part was built for a bowsprit, but a short boom to carry a steadying sail has bean substituted. The picture shows ths Beulah alongside the Contral Wharf, and (inset) her bow.
