OVERLOADED BUS
COMPANY FINED £lO The Passenger Transport Company, Otahuhu, was prosecuted at the Otahuhu Court yesterday for overloading passenger buses on November 30. Inspector Fletcher, for the Otahuhu Borough Council said that a bus licensed to carry 21 passengers, was carrying 38 passengers on the # am. trips from Papatoetoe. In answer to the magistrate he Said the approximate cost of a licence was £2 a passenger. The magistrate, Mr. F. H. Lsvien, 8.M., remarked that the company was Saving over £3O per annum on the transaction. A fine of £lO and costs was imposed.
