QUEENSLAND BUSH-FIRES
BANANA FARMS DESTROYED BY FLAMES HEAVY TOLL OF COUNTRY Kecd. 9 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. Fierce bush fires over Mount. Oriely have taken heavy toll of agricultural and mountain country. Five banana farms have been burnt out. The damage is estimated at several thousand pounds. Several dairy farms in the path of the flames are menaced, but an organised force . of fire-fighters is doing its utmost to divert the fire.
