A BIG DIFFERENCE
THE absence of any relative penalties in regard to the present handicapping system in the trotting game Has again led to a big difference of opinion between Handicappers Paul and Thomas. The ridiculousness of the position is shown in the case of the trotter Great Nelson, who, in a 4.50 class at Auckland, is placed 24 yards behind (4.48), while at New Brighton his mark in a race with the same limit is 60 yards behind (4.45).
