BIG SCHEME FOR CONTROL OF LONDON TRANSPORT ACCOUNTANT TO ADVISE British Official Wireless RUGBY, Friday. Sir William McLintock, tiie prominent chartered accountant, has been appointed to advise the Government in its inquiries on the scheme for public control and co-ordination of London’s passenger transport. His duties will be of an actuarial character. The value of London’s pasesnger traffic undertakings is generally estimated at more than £100,000,000. Sir William will ascertain the financial possibilities and liabilities of all tho companies concerned, and report to the Tarnsport Minister, Mr. Herbert Morrison. It is probable the work will take a considerable time; but the Transport Minister has indicated that the Government contemplates no further action until a thorough investigation of the financial aspect of the scheme has been completed.
