RENEWAL OF NATIVE LEASE
first case under new act From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Friday. Tho first case under the Property Law Amendment Act, 1928, was heard in the Supreme Court today, when the executive of the late John Ormsby, Otorohanga, sought an order for relief against the refusal of two native women, lessors of a block of land near Otorohanga, to grant a renewal of a lease. His Honour, Mr. Justice Ilerdman, hold that the clause of the lease had been complied with and that notice of renewal was served. An order for renewal was made. -
