Notice is hereby given that the New Lynn Borough Council, in pursuance and in exercise of its powers under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Rating Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and all amendments thereof relating thereto, and any other powers enabling it in that behalf, intends on MONDAY, December 23, 1929, to make nnd levy for the year commenced on April 1, 1929, and ending on March 31, 1930, the following Rates, viz.:— A General Rate of fourpence and thirteen-sixteenths of a penny. A Hospital and Charitable Rate of seven-eighths of a penny. A Street Lighting Rate of three-eighths of a penny in the £ sterling upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in and for the Borough of New Lynn, the said Rates to he payable in one sum January 7, 1930, to J. Non-consumers. —Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not. supplied, situate within 100 yards from the waterworks, a rate of one penny in the £ on the unimproved rateable value, with a minimum charge of ss. of all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in and for the Borough of New Lynn, the said Rates to be payable in one sum to the Council’s Collector.
