CHRISTMAS COMPETITIONS
STORIES, POEMS AND SKETCHES CONTRIBUTIONS are invited for the Happy Town Christmas page as under: SHORT STORY.—Original story not exceeding 500 words. First and second prizes. POETRY.—Original poem not exceeding 20 lines. First and second prizes. DRAWING. —Original drawing depicting “Christmas in Happy Town,” to be finished in indian ink. First and second prizes. Entries close with the Dawn Lady on Thursday, December 12. Stories and poems should be written or typed on’only one side of the paper, and all entries should be endorsed by parent or guardian as the original, unaided work of the sender, envelopes to be clearly marked “Christmas Competitions.” Open to children of 15 and under.
