A “CHOPPY” AFTERNOON The other Saturday afternoon, a Wellington man was invited to go yachting. The afternoon turned out to be a cold and windy one, and the harbour was pretty “choppy.” Soon the yacht was racing tow’ard Ward Island, and happened to “go about” rather quickly, and before the Wellington man knew where he was, he was very nearly overboard. Fortunately his companions managed to hang on to him and prevent the catastrophe. He arrived home later in the day, pretty wet and cold. “Give me my ‘Baxter’s,’ ” he said to his wife when he got in. “I don’t suppose sea-water will give me a cold, but just the same I’ll take the precaution.” *. Baxter’s Lung Preserver is an unfailing safeguard against coughs, colds, ’flu, and all kinds of throat and chest complaints, whilst it possesses splendid tonic properties. Obtainable at all chemists and stores. Generous-sized bottle 2s 6d; family size 4s 6d: bachelor’s bottle Is 6d.—4.
