Competitions at Otahuhu

Kindergarten Funds Materially Benefit SUCCESSFUL EVENING Streamers of coloured lights and paper, from which hung baskets of ferns, made effective decorations at the Otahuhu Public Hall on Thursday, when a very enjoyable competition evening was held. Mirrors hung on the walls reflected the myriad coloured lights, and added to the brightness. The function was organised by Mr. F. Andrew, and the duties of masters of ceremony were carried out by Messrs. A. Murdoch and G. V. Pearce. The stage management was in the hands of Messrs. H. Everitt and F. Grey. The proceeds are to be devoted to the Otahuhu free kindergarten's new school building fund. During the evening musical items were contributed by Miss Stanfield an <7 Mr. Walter Brough, vocal solos; Miss Edna Thomas, elocutionary items.
