UNPOPULAR MONKEY
FEARS OF INFECTION Montreal was scared when it was learned that a monkey which was reported to have been inoculated with infantile paralysis, of which there have been 200 cases in Canada during the past few months, had escaped from the laboratory at McGill University. The police scoured the district and had orders to shoot the animal at sight. The authorities ordered the removal of all children from the northern part of the city till the monkey was captured. It was later denied at McGill University that the monkey had been ino culated with harmful germs. .
